As Sharron notes, "David is one of the most highly decorated US Army Veterans to come out of the Vietnam War: 7 Purple Hearts, the Distinguished Service Cross, two Silver Stars, a Bronze Star, nominated for the Medal of Honor twice and was the youngest commissioned officer since the Civil War. There is no doubt of David Christian’s courage to do what needs to be done in Washington." 2. Ted Cruz -- seeks to be elected to the U.S. Senate from Texas

Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/tedcruz
Twitter: @tedcruz

Other: Ted earned the endorsement of The Club for Growth, which remarks that "Former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz has dedicated his life to the defense of economic liberty and the U.S. Constitution. After Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison announced that she would not seek another term in 2012, it quickly became clear that Ted Cruz was the best choice to replace her. He's fought frivolous lawsuits that deter economic growth, defended private property rights, and opposed President Obama's moratorim on offshore drilling...all while arguing eight times before the United States Supreme Court - the most of any lawyer in Texas." Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/repscottgarrett

Other: Founder of the Constitution Caucus, Garrett authored an opinion piece entitled "Maintaining the Founders' Vision" which was published by the Washington Times. Here is a brief excerpt: "As chairman of the Constitution Caucus, I am dedicated to the restoration and promotion of the Founders’ vision for American democracy and the principles of freedom enshrined in our Constitution... Six years removed from the founding of the Constitution Caucus, I’m proud to see these efforts now coming to fruition. In January [2011], the House convened with a reading of the Constitution on the House floor for the first time in American history. Additionally, the House rules now require that all legislation contain a citation that indicates a constitutional justification for the law it proposes, a rule I have long championed and worked for years to implement." Twitter: @DanForUtah

Other: Well-known political commentator Michelle Malkin has this to say about Dan: "Liljenquist excelled in the private sector as a global management consultant and business strategist; he also helmed a privately owned call center company that grew from two to 1,500 employees since its 1995 founding. Liljenquist was elected to the Utah Senate in 2008, where he spearheaded state pension and Medicaid reforms that earned him the non-partisan Governing magazine’s 2011 “Public Official of the Year” award." 5. Richard Mourdock -- seeks to be elected to the U.S. Senate from Indiana

Campaign website: http://richardmourdock.com/
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/richardmourdock
Twitter: @richardmourdock

Other: Praised by Michelle Malkin as follows: "Richard Mourdock, Indiana’s former state treasurer, offers a fresh alternative with widespread support from both grassroots activists and local and state GOP officials. While others hedged their bets, Mourdock took the federal auto bailout head on, lodging a court complaint against the Chrysler bailout to expose its illegal abuse of shareholders and punitive impact on Indiana citizens. He was elected to the treasurer’s office in 2006, a tough year for Republicans, and was re-elected handily in 2010. Before politics, he worked in the private sector for 30 years managing businesses in the energy, environmental and construction industries. He’s never had a Beltway zip code." 6. Carl Wimmer -- seeks to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Utah's newly-created 4th congressional district

Campaign website: http://carlwimmer.com/
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Carl-Wimmer/24089158217
Twitter: @CarlWimmer

Other: Carl's campaign is officially supported by The Club for Growth, which comments "Utah's 4th Congressional District is a new district created after the 2010 census, so this will be an open seat race. It's possible that the nominee will be determined by Utah's unique convention system, where any candidate who receives 60% of the votes from convention delegates becomes the automatic nominee. Far and away the best choice in the primary is State Representative Carl Wimmer, who is also endorsed by Club for Growth PAC backed Utah Senator Mike Lee. Wimmer is a life-long fighter for limited government and free markets, and will continue that fight in Congress. Club Members must help Wimmer make sure he has the resouces he needs to win the convention, and if necessary, the primary." For more: http://www.clubforgrowth.org/endorsedcandidates/?subsec=0&id=993

Twitter: @Joe4Congress12

Other: Joe's encounter with then-candidate for president Barack Obama in late 2008 became a sensation, as it led to Obama's admission that he advocates "spread[ing] the wealth around" -- in other words, using the force of government to legalize the theft of income from those who have earned it, so that it can be redistributed to those who have not earned it. The video of this encounter is on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZcEHLr4gBg

Keep in mind, we seek candidates who are as consistently pro-liberty as possible, and who have a reasonable chance of being elected to the office they seek.

  1. Wimmer may not even make it out of the Caucus in UT04. Mia Love is just as conservative, and has far lower negatives. She's an imminently likeable candidate who was involved in the Freedomworks State Budget commission. She's coming on strong. Take a look at her. www.facebook.com/love4utah
